ARTIST BIOGRAPHY
John Berrick studied at the National Art School in Sydney, subsequently teaching art and drama. In 1993, he joined the Walt Disney Company, promoting Disney characters, films and merchandise throughout Asia. In 2012, John moved to France as Vice President of Entertainment at Disneyland Paris, where he still resides.
While writing, designing and directing these shows, John kept visual diaries of all his travels - references, sketches, swatches and scraps torn from brochures, magazines and newspapers. He discovered collage as a form to unite these disparate origins and materials. John's style has evolved into the increasingly abstract and evocative, culminating in a distinctive personal expression.
John Berrick is currently represented by McKay Williamson Gallery in London.
