During World War 2, the Nazi occupation built the “Atlantic Wall”,
running the entire length of the country to defend against Allied sea
invasion.
Massive cement barricades and huge gun emplacements stand as
reminders that refuse to be buried. Abandoned shipping bleeds rust
into the sand as they slowly disintegrate.
