Land Meets Sea

Moments of transition

Land Meets Sea is a collection of recent work that grew out of time spent wandering aimlessly along the shifting edge between land and water. I found myself thinking about the beauty and force of the sea, the vulnerability of the land, and the feeling of watching familiar places slowly change.

Jackson's Art Prize 2026 Longlist

I am delighted to have this piece, Land Meets Sea Nº 4, make it to Longlist of the Jackson’s Art Prize 2026. Over 16,500 artworks were entered, and so I am grateful to have this work make it to the top 1000.

Land Meets Sea Nº 4 - mixed media collage and acrylic on canvas, 120 x 100 cm.

This painting is based on the area of lake where I grew up, and reminds me of childhood car trips to the city.

A number of old wooden bridges finally simplified the journey around the lake, eliminating long detours inland. These arch-shaped, rattling, plank-built bridges offered a new perspective by opening up views across the lake and shoreline.

Land Meets Sea Nº 5 - mixed media collage and acrylic on canvas, 120 x 100 cm.

This new series is both a record and reflection. It is an attempt to witness and honor the rhythms of a coastline in flux, and the people whose lives are intertwined with it.

These pieces are available for sale, €2.400,00 each. Please get in touch if you would like to purchase a piece, or you can do so directly via my website.

Once thriving fishing villages and oyster farms fade, as silted bays slow the tide that once sustained them.
